OMG: I’m a Published Excerptist!

I already know what you’re thinking…Joslyn, what the heck is an exerpist? Well friends, let me tell you. First I must admit that yes, I did essentially just make that word up, but in this context I think it makes sense…or least I’m telling myself that it does. By definition, an excerpt is:  a passage or segment taken from a longer work, such as a literary or musical composition, a document, or a film. In my strange thought process, excerptist would qualify as someone who writes an excerpt. Right?

That said (0r writtern actually), I am so unbelievable excited to officially announce that I’m a published excerptist! It’s always been, and continues to be, a big goal/dream/aspiration of mine to write on a professional level and ultimately be published. I may not have scored my own book deal yet, but I am included in the latest book from a New York Times Best Selling author, who also just so happens to be an alum of one of my all-time favorite shows, The Wonder Years. Winnie is my girl!

Without further ado, I present to you a few fun pictures of Danica McKeller’s latest book and my 2 pages of glory in HOT X: Algebra Exposed. I also want to give a shout out to Danica. I respect her in so many ways, but more than anything I appreciate how she is empowering young women by illustrating how cool it is to invest in intelligence. I hope that one day I can try to do the same.
