As the title would imply, I’m a fan of paradise. Let it be known that I was not exaggerating when I called the JW Marriott in Desert Springs, paradise. It literally is paradise. That, coupled with the fact that it’s so ridiculously close to LA, means there’s not reason you shouldn’t go if you’re a local. If you’re not a local, you should still go, because I feel like everyone needs this experience in their life.

That said, JW Marriott took our experience to the next level, thanks largely in part to the amazing culinary staff, headed up by Thomas Horner and the spa staff lead by Dawn Ferraro. We experienced food heaven when we dined at T&T, a curated restaurant experience that is top secret to those who have not experienced it and something those interested need to buy special tickets to get in on (or contact the hotel). Our spa experience was next level, too; we had a private suite (4 times bigger than my LA apartment), complete with a fireplace, abundant fruit platters and outdoor patio featuring a spa.

Oh also, side bonus for my 90’s babes…this hotel was the setting for Jesse Spano’s dad’s wedding on Saved By the Bell. You’re welcome.
