I was lucky enough to grow up in an awesome neighborhood, where lots of the houses had pools, young families, and friendly people. So, basically,  my California summers consisted of pool hopping, barbecues, and generally playing outside sun-up to sun-down. You know those days when you could swim for 9 hours straight, eat like 5 sandwiches without feeling too full, and then crash out at pm, only to wake up the next day and do it all over again? I miss those days…That said, one my top “happy places” is STILL my parent’s backyard. We had a pool party last weekend…well, it wasn’t really a party, but it was fun regardless!
