I can’t even believe I’m writing this, but….the FIFTH ANNUAL MYSTERY GIRLS TRIP girls trip goes down in LESS THAN A WEEK! We’ve hiked mountains, cannon-balled off boats in the ocean, jammed at concerts, sampled wine (understatement of the century), gone horseback riding on the beach, had wild dance parties…the list could literally go on forever.

It’s equal parts hard for me to believe and also NOT hard for me to believe that my girls have been doing this for 5 years, and I think our group commitment to making this tradition a priority is one of the things I’m most proud of when it comes to us.

Some of you guys might be familiar with what this hoopla’s all about, for those of you who are like “what the heck is a mystery girls trip, and who cares?” WELL my loves, this explanation is for you!

I’ve blogged about this yearly girls adventure in the past, but in case you missed the memo on this stellar travel idea…here is the back-story and the details…

 A few years ago I read an article in Real Simple magazine about this group of girlfriends who made a pact to go on one annual trip, which sounds pretty normal and fun, right? But, this gal-pal getaway had a few important and unique twists that caught my eye, leading my group of girlfriends and I to follow suit!

Here are the rules from the article:

1. One or two of the girls planned the entire trip completely solo. *** Shout-out to Meesh and Alexis for the planning action this year.
2. Everyone on the trip contributes the same amount of money and gave the money to the planner/s. This means that regardless of where each girl lives, she pays the same dollar-amount, making it financially fair and square.  The chances of the entire group attending become exponentially higher, and girls that live farther away don’t have to spend more, which, YES, always happens and isn’t so fabulous.
3. THE ENTIRE TRIP IS  A COMPLETE AND TOTAL SURPRISE. This isn’t hyperbole people…it’s an actual freaking surprise – as in, you don’t know where you’re going til you get that boarding pass at LAX. From start to finish- location, flights, activities, food…everything was planned by the planners and was all unknown.

HERE ARE THE CLUES FOR 2015…GUYS – HELP ME! Where are we going??? WHAT DOES THIS ALL MEAN? WHY AM I AGGRESSIVELY USING EXCLAMATION MARKS AND ALL CAPS?

CLUE #1: A plane (could this be any more vague?).
