DIY WORK FROM HOME OFFICE IN CABINET FOR A TEACHER!

Hey hey guys! Y’all are getting the first official sneak peek at the WFH office I created for my sister Ali, who is a high school teacher working from home for the foreseeable future due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Like most people out there, Ali doesn’t have a designated space in her home for an office, so she asked me to create a very small office in the corner of her 3 year old daughters’ bedroom and she’d seen THIS OFFICE I created for myself in my hallway (true story) and thought I’d be up for the challenge, which, le duh, I WAS!

I visited and measured her space and then I found an awesome pre-owned, gently-used cabinet on Offer-Up for a HUGE DEAL (I highly recommend Facebook Marketplace, too). I sanded, primed and then painted at least 3 coats of white paint, before adding new gold knobs and…CANE LINED DOORS. I’m obsessed with this trend right now and have seen it everywhere on Pinterest. It was slightly challenging but totally worth it.

I added a few finishing touches, including mounting a ring light and a webcam for her zoom classroom and then I styled the space with some inspirational items, including one of her favorite affirmations, a cute art DIY, some family pictures and a few fake plants. I also love the stool I found at Lowes! My YouTube video outlines all the details of this DIY and all the items you’ll need to make this project a reality are linked below.
